Various BIodanza faciliators have been involved over a period of six years with the organisation Salesian Life Choices. In particular Biodanza has been offered as part of their Leader’s Quest programme which is an intervention that works with Grade 11, 12 and post matric youth from low income communities. It combines leadership training, experiential activities and academic tutoring. The aim of the program is to mould a generation of young leaders from developing communities to become influential decision makers in a quest to better their lives and their communities.

Biodanza leadership development vivencias are structured to be energising, uplifting, inspiring, motivating and empowering for youth and help them build connections with themselves and others.

The positive structuring moments of dancing through the challenges when the odds are stacked against you, create neural pathways that build resilience through the dance. Resilience and zest for life, the participants naturally tap into when confronting the many challenges in their daily lives.

Currently, Annelize Becht facilitates Social Action classes in the Leaders Quest programme. Watch a video of a class here

She has also created classes for the post matric learners enrolled in the Life Choices Academy programme. In order to give back to the staff of Salesian Life Choices that give so generously of themselves, the Biodanza facilitator teams have created special team building classes for them as well.
